With Canada celebrating its 150th birthday in 2017, and with a strong race offering that includes technical race shirts, medals and beer, event organizers are seeing an even larger increase in demand for next year’s event.

BMO Vancouver Marathon weekend features races for everyone with Vancouver’s only marathon, BC’s largest Half Marathon, a scenic 8KM race, Marathon Relay, 2.5KM Walk, Kids Run, plus a free three-day Health, Sports & Lifestyle Expo.

Locals are encouraged to secure their spot and challenge for new team prizing that will see more than $3,500 in prizing awarded. The non-profit organization will also award $17,000 in cash prizing to those who share their community spirit and demonstrate excellence in volunteering.

Annually, the event relies on nearly 4,000 volunteers, and all race funds are directed by the non-profit organization back into the event to ensure Vancouver delivers a world-class running experience.
