FIRST HALF

What started as a build-up to the BMO Vancouver Marathon, the First Half presented by BlueShore Financial has become a staple event in the city’s vibrant running culture. Canada’s Fastest Half Marathon offers a scenic out-and-back course along the Seawall and Stanley Park before returning to historic Yaletown. This race kicks off the running calendar with an always sold-out event annually in February. Join in!

One of the world’s top destination marathons, the BMO Vancouver Marathon is known for its award-winning Marathon course, fast Half Marathon, 8KM and Kids Run. All courses offer stunning views of the Pacific Ocean, towering forests, iconic landmarks, and run through world-renowned Stanley Park towards an energized downtown Finish Line. Marathon weekend runs annually on the first Sunday of May.

A hallmark event for the local running community, the Granville Island Turkey Trot is an annual event that brings together runners in a celebration of Thanksgiving, and demonstrates our community of running, our gratitude for the sport, and our commitment to supporting others. Run & Give in support of local Food Banks including the Greater Vancouver Food Bank.

Previously known as the Fall Classic, RUNVAN® and the University of British Columbia have teamed up to present the new Great Trek presented by BlueShore Financial. This popular Vancouver event features races for everyone with Half Marathon, 10KM and 5KM routes around the gorgeous UBC campus. Run under beautiful Fall foliage.

Great Trek 5KM

BMO VANCOUVER MARATHON KIDS RUN

One of the world’s top destination marathons, the BMO Vancouver Marathon is known for its award-winning Marathon course and Marathon weekend also features a fun Kids Run. The fun Kids Run takes place a day before the Marathon race, inside world-renowned Stanley Park with an official Start and Finish Line. Kids receives a tee and a medal, just like the adults!

The Kids Run loops near Granville Island includes fun post-race festivities. This run inspires kids to get moving, make healthy choices, and feel confident. Each child receives a race bib, ribbon, and snacks.
