Musqueam artist Darryl Blyth designed this year’s beautiful new First Half presented by BlueShore Financial 2023 medal artwork front. The medal back features iconic landmarks around the race route, created in-house. Darryl is the same talented artist who designed the Great Trek medals from last year and he has designed the new set for the upcoming BMO Vancouver Marathon and Half Marathon!A local non-profit organization reliant on nearly 3,000 volunteers annually, RUNVAN hosts running events that celebrate diversity and help to build community.
The BMO Vancouver Marathon is Canada’s largest Marathon race welcoming runners from around the world.
RUNVAN further acknowledges that it is events are held on unceded traditional territories and the non-profit organization is actively looking to expand and deepen meaningful relationships with these Nations.
RUNVAN is currently seeking additional creative graphic design consulting services from Indigenous artists located in, and representing, the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), or səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
