“The Granville Island Turkey Trot has become such a meaningful Thanksgiving tradition,” says Race Director, Eric Chéné. “It’s inspiring to see runners of all ages come together in celebration of health, community, and gratitude. We’re excited to welcome everyone back for another fun and exciting race day.”

Participants receive a t-shirt and fun turkey hat if opted in, and a finisher medal. This year’s finisher medal highlights iconic landmarks along the 10KM route, including Science World, the Seawall, Granville Island signage, and the Burrard Bridge. The reverse side features a distinctive Indigenous design by local Musqueam artist Darryl Blyth.

This year’s Granville Island Turkey Trot race features some minor improvements with a smoother out and back on Creekside Dr, and now races east of Science World due to construction. Volunteers, pacers and VPD will help guide runners along the marked and officially measured 10KM.
