Granville Island Turkey Trot 2026 hits capacity in record time
Vancouver, BC – September 25, 2026 – The Granville Island Turkey Trot 10KM has once again reached capacity numbers in record time, bringing runners, walkers, families and friends together this Thanksgiving Monday for one of Vancouver’s favourite fall traditions.
Taking place on Monday, October 12, the annual 10KM race along the scenic False Creek Seawall will celebrate community, movement and Thanksgiving spirit with plenty of festive fun along the way. The event also features a timed Kids Run also uniquely starting and finishing on Granville Island.
And back by popular demand, Lee’s Donuts will be serving up post-race treats, with participants able to enjoy Sugar Cake and Churro flavours after crossing the finish line.

Participants may look forward to a festive race-day experience, including the signature Granville Island Turkey Trot turkey hats, costumes, a finisher medal and post-race treats including Lee’s Donuts, courtesy of the non-profit RUNVAN, and Stanley Park Brewing non-alcoholic beer samples.
The Granville Island Turkey Trot supports Greater Vancouver Food Bank, Surrey Food Bank, and SHARE Family and Community Services, continuing the event’s tradition of giving back to the community during Thanksgiving.
